Improved Gothic II Unreal Engine Remaster Released — Update 0.1.2.3 Now Available
The developer of the Unreal Engine remasters for Gothic and Gothic II continues to refine the projects.
Following an update in April, the creator released version 0.1.2.3 for the Gothic II remaster. This patch introduces several technical improvements and new features:
- Graphic enhancements based on a heavily modified GOLD build.
- A dedicated mod launcher.
- Pre-installed mods.
Steam users who own Gothic II: Gold Edition can test the remaster now. Open the game properties, go to the Betas tab, and enter the code WajocIlipa185. Select the unrealbeta branch from the dropdown menu. Once installed, a second option appears in the launcher: Play Gothic II: Complete in Unreal.
The developer requests feedback on bugs. Players can report issues through a dedicated chat or track known problems in the official project community linked here.
