Studio director, degree designer and former co-owner id Software, Tim Willits, has introduced he shall be leaving the corporate after 24 years.

“All of the games currently in development are in very good hands, my departure will not affect any planned releases,” stated on Twitter. “id Software is packed full of amazing talent that will continue to develop (long into the future) some of the best shooters in the world.”
Willits mentioned he’ll announce his future plans after the occasion, similar to the place he’s going and “what new exciting things” he shall be doing.
id Software was based in 1991 by John Carmack, John Romero, Tom Hall, and Adrian Carmack. Willits has held the place of studio director since 1995.
