House of the Dragon star could play a villain in the Bond franchise
British actor Ewan Mitchell, widely recognized for his performance in House of the Dragon, is reportedly being eyed to portray the primary antagonist in the upcoming James Bond installment, according to The Sun.
Specific details regarding the character remain under wraps. Furthermore, the casting for the iconic 007 role has yet to be finalized. Previous reports have linked several prominent actors to the part, including Jack Lowden, Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Callum Turner, and Jack Barton.
The 26th entry in the storied franchise is set to be helmed by director Denis Villeneuve (Dune), with a screenplay penned by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. A release date for the project has not yet been established.
Beyond his portrayal of Aemond Targaryen in House of the Dragon, Mitchell’s filmography includes notable appearances in Saltburn, Wuthering Heights, and the series The Last Kingdom.
