Connectivity Improvements
- Removed the access token generation cooldown for dedicated servers to help stabilize connections for hosts.
- Additional networking optimizations are currently in active testing; we appreciate your continued patience as we finalize these improvements.
General Fixes & Adjustments
- Clients now verify server versions before connecting; an error prompt will appear if the server is running an outdated build.
- Adjusted invite code length requirements; you can now use codes ranging from 1 to 32 characters.
- Resolved a crash occurring during ship spawns in Tortuga.
- Corrected boss scaling issues that arose when more than three players engaged in a fight.
- Fixed a progression blocker where the Boar Whistle would become unobtainable if dropped into the Altar’s bowl while your inventory was full.
- Refined character animations for carrying objects.
- Fixed a visual bug where the Plague Halberd’s special attack VFX would float above the deck during boarding actions.
- Healing potion effects will no longer be prematurely interrupted by using consumables or dashing.
- Smoothed out character movement while aiming with the musket.
- Fixed a logic error with the Overpenetration talent to ensure it functions as intended.
- Corrected fire damage display and associated VFX for the Dragonbreath Blunderbuss.
- Resolved an issue where Thomas Richards would inconsistently switch targets mid-sprint during his Grab attack.
- Prevented Thomas Richards from triggering a Grab attack immediately after a bomb toss.
- Grenadier grenades now correctly pass through players and NPCs rather than colliding prematurely.
- Improved Grenadier AI; they will now maintain focus on targets and close the gap more effectively.
- The Plague Crusher now properly destroys trees in its path rather than getting stuck.
- Removed the “Wishlist Now” prompt from the main menu.
- Increased the host server start timeout to 5 minutes to accommodate world version updates.
- Corrected various localization errors.
- Updated DedicatedServer.md to include configuration examples for “Easy,” “Medium,” and “Hard” world presets.
