Hollywood is developing a live-action adaptation of The Little Prince

Morten Tyldum, director of The Imitation Game, and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Simon Beaufoy are teaming up to develop a fresh cinematic adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s beloved classic, The Little Prince.

The film intends to weave together historical elements of the author’s own life with the narrative core of his famous novella. The biographical segments will be captured in live-action, while the Little Prince himself and his companions will be brought to life through advanced visual effects.

News of this ambitious project first surfaced in 2019. The creative team remains anchored by French producer Aton Soumache—who previously oversaw the Netflix animated feature version of The Little Prince (pictured)—and artist Joann Sfar, renowned for his New York Times comic book interpretation of the story.
