Attention, Generals!

Before we head out for a brief four-day hiatus, we are rolling out another Open Beta update for you to explore. Please dive in, put these changes to the test, and share your detailed feedback. We look forward to reviewing your insights and refining the experience when we return.

How to Access the Open Beta

This release is identified as Case Green v1.18.1.0.9197 (01c8). To install the beta client, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the game title in your Steam library.
  2. Select Properties from the context menu.
  3. Navigate to the Betas tab.
  4. Select the open_beta branch from the dropdown menu.

If you are already participating in the Open Beta, your client will update automatically. Should you encounter any issues, please submit your reports through our official bug report forum. Be sure to include your current version number so our team can track and categorize your findings accurately.

Gameplay

  • Lend-Lease now defaults to maximum quantities for “Once” and 100% for “Percentage” settings.
  • Enhanced the supply tooltip to provide a more transparent breakdown of supply sources.

Stability & Performance

  • Optimized performance during large-scale naval engagements involving over 1,000 ships.
  • Resolved a rendering issue related to DirectX 11.

AI Improvements

  • Corrected an issue preventing England from constructing improved battleships.
  • Extensive overhaul of Italian naval equipment logic.
  • AI nations will now prioritize troop training more frequently.
  • Refined generic task force logic for improved efficiency.
  • Adjusted AI behavior to be more opportunistic when training naval vessels.
  • Improved the decision-making process for AI homebase selection for standby fleets.
  • Implemented guardrails to prevent the AI from over-allocating patrols to naval invasions.

Modding

  • AI mission objectives will now correctly honor blocked naval regions.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a calculation error where ships were incorrectly factored into supply requirements.
  • Resolved an issue preventing the USA from constructing 1940-model Carriers.
  • Fixed a bug that caused strike forces to occasionally become unresponsive when targeting invalid assets.
  • Corrected display errors for snow modifier values and resolved a functional issue with the leader snow adjuster.
  • Snow attack penalties are now explicitly visible in the movement arrow tooltip.
  • Removed obsolete aviation technologies from 1936 starts for minor nations (BBA-enabled).
  • The 1939 Order of Battle for the RI Bolzano now correctly utilizes the Bolzano-class hull.
  • Convoy raiders will no longer join or reinforce combat unless active enemy convoys are present.
  • Fixed a critical crash linked to the deployment of carrier-based aircraft.
