Heroes of the Storm Gets Shop, Mechanics and Balance Update in Patch 2.55.13 — Blizzard Returns to the MOBA
Blizzard periodically returns to Heroes of the Storm, introducing various adjustments to the game.
Blizzard Entertainment has once again focused on Heroes of the Storm, issuing patch 2.55.13 after a testing phase on the PTR.
The Heroes of the Storm team reported updates to the main menu and launcher music, and added two mounts to the in-game shop: the “Plush Sheep” and the “Ginger Plush Sheep”.
The patch brings several balance and mechanics tweaks, including:
- Auto-attacks, cleave effects and area attacks now function more consistently for all heroes across different situations.
- Forts, Keeps and the Citadel now grant allied heroes who take damage within their radius +35 armor for 4 seconds. The effect has a 4-second cooldown and can only apply to one hero per structure.
- Mercenary camps now appear 30 seconds after the match starts (previously 60 seconds).
- Small experience spheres have been removed from the game.
