Heretic + Hexen Classic Shooter Collection Receives First Update with New Features

The developers continue to support the classics.

Nightdive Studios recently returned to the Heretic + Hexen collection and released an update for the shooters.

Highlights and changes:

• Heretic: Added randomized placement for the Flame Staff from the original game (now with a 100% spawn chance instead of the original 75%).
• An option to disable cutscene subtitles has been added to the Accessibility menu.
• An option to restore the original double-button behavior when selecting inventory items has been added.
• Added the ability to disable weapon animation smoothing.
• Added key bindings for “look up”, “look down”, and “center view”.
• More keys are now allowed for navigating text screens.
• The gameplay modifiers menu is now available not only on the difficulty selection screen but also, for example, in the episode selection menu.
• Various bug fixes and balance adjustments.
