Hearts of Iron IV Developers Update Japan, China, and the Philippines — Focus Trees, Doctrines, and Other New Features in Expansion Pass 2

Hearts of Iron IV is set to refresh several key Asian nations — and more — soon.

The developers of the grand strategy Hearts of Iron IV have unveiled the seasonal Expansion Pass 2. It comprises five expansions that focus primarily on the Asian theatre.

The first DLC, Seaplane Tenders, arrives on September 30 — it adds models for three new vessels: Japanese, Australian, and American seaplane carriers.

No Compromise, No Surrender is scheduled for release on November 20. It introduces national focus trees for Japan, both Communist and Nationalist China, and the Philippines. The faction system will also be expanded so players can exert greater influence over allied nations through enhanced faction rules and alliance objectives.

In the following year, the team plans to release Thunder at Our Gates and Warships of the Pacific, which will add content for Australia, Siam, Indonesia, and others.

Additionally, a Focus Pack titled Hearts of Iron IV: Peace For Our Time is expected in 2026 — this pack will provide new options for Czechoslovakia and present a scenario that challenges players with an uneven confrontation against Germany.
