Hayley Williams reunited with Zedd on stage on Monday night (Oct. 5) to perform their 2012 collaboration, “Stay the Night,” marking their first live performance of the song together in 12 years.

During her Hollywood Bowl show in Los Angeles, the Paramore frontwoman brought out the electronic hitmaker as a surprise guest. Fan-captured footage from the concert shows Zedd playing the piano while Williams handled the vocals during a stripped-back rendition that replaced the original EDM production with a raw arrangement.

Released in 2012 during Zedd’s early string of crossover pop hits, “Stay the Night” topped Billboard’s Dance Club Songs and Dance Airplay charts in 2013.

The track followed Zedd’s breakthrough album Clarity. The album’s title track featuring Foxes peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won best dance recording at the 2014 Grammy Awards, earning Zedd his first Grammy.

Williams has included multiple throwback appearances on The Hayley Williams Show tour since it began in September. At her Sept. 17 concert at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, she welcomed opener Rico Nasty to perform B.o.B’s “Airplanes,” which reached No. 2 on the Hot 100.

Williams wraps up her Los Angeles run with a final Hollywood Bowl show on Tuesday (Oct. 6). She takes The Hayley Williams Show to South America in November before heading to Australia and Europe in 2027.
