If the persistent rumors surrounding Beyoncé’s upcoming album—widely expected to be a rock-centric project—are true, there is perhaps no more fitting collaborator than Paramore’s own Hayley Williams.

The anticipation reached a fever pitch during Williams’ solo performance in Maryland this past Wednesday (April 15). A proactive fan seized the moment to ask the frontwoman directly if she would be making an appearance on Beyoncé’s “Act III.” As shown in circulating footage of the event, Williams responded with a playful deflection: “What do you want me to do if I am?”

“Honestly, I’m in the dark,” she added, addressing the crowd. “I don’t have an answer for you. I wish I could share, but you’d likely hear the news before I even do.”

Beyoncé has been methodically crafting her ambitious trilogy since 2022. Following the massive success of Renaissance (Act I) and the chart-topping country exploration of Cowboy Carter (Act II), the music world is abuzz with speculation regarding the final installment. Given that her most recent record featured an eclectic array of high-profile contributors—including legends like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson alongside modern heavyweights like Miley Cyrus and Post Malone—the prospect of a rock-themed finale featuring a genre icon like Williams seems like a natural progression.

For now, Williams remains fully occupied with her own tour supporting her 2025 release, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. After her Maryland engagement, she is slated to perform at The Fillmore in Minneapolis this Friday (April 17), with a packed schedule of U.S. dates this spring followed by a European tour later this summer.
