During the opening weekend of his “Together, Together” tour in Amsterdam, Harry Styles offered a clear expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
In a video circulated online on Sunday, May 17—coinciding with the second of his ten-night residency at the Johan Cruijff Arena—a fan called out “Viva Palestina!” from the audience.
The comment captured the singer’s immediate attention. Styles paused, looked toward the fan, and offered a firm, singular response: “Correct.”
This brief exchange highlights the artist’s stance on the long-standing Middle Eastern conflict. The situation escalated significantly following the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis and the taking of 251 hostages. Israel’s subsequent military campaign in Gaza has led to the deaths of over 71,000 Palestinians. Despite a temporary ceasefire brokered last October, regional health authorities report that at least 850 additional lives have been lost in Gaza due to continued military action.
While Styles generally maintains a low profile regarding his personal political convictions, he has frequently encouraged his fanbase to engage in civic life. Notably, his 2022 “Love on Tour” initiative partnered with HeadCount, successfully registering over 54,000 new voters for the midterms.
The Grammy-winning artist is currently celebrating the success of his latest chart-topping album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, released this past March, which features the hit single “Aperture.” Following his Amsterdam run, Styles is scheduled for upcoming stints in London, São Paulo, Mexico City, and New York, before concluding his global tour with performances in Melbourne and Sydney.
