Harry Styles Sets the Stage for “Aperture”: Lead Single from HS4 Arrives This Week
Prepare for a new era of pop. Just days after unveiling the title of his highly anticipated fourth studio project, Harry Styles has provided a definitive countdown for its debut single. The track, titled “Aperture,” is scheduled to land in a matter of days, marking the beginning of a fresh sonic chapter for the global icon.
On Tuesday (Jan. 20), the superstar thrilled his fan base by confirming that “Aperture”—the first glimpse into the upcoming LP Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally—will arrive on streaming platforms this Thursday, Jan. 22. Styles shared the news via social media, posting a candid photograph of himself looking radiant in a recording booth. The caption simply read: “Aperture. Jan 23, 00:00 UK,” which translates to a 7 p.m. ET release on Thursday for listeners in the United States.
The cryptic promotional website, WeBelongTogether.co, which first ignited rumors of new music earlier this month, has also been refreshed to reflect the single’s launch. The site now features a visual of Styles and several companions sketching on canvases in a lush park setting. Notably, a clock in the center of the image has been modified so that the word “Disco” occupies the 9 o’clock position—a subtle hint that Styles may be leaning into dance-floor-ready aesthetics for this cycle.
This release marks a significant milestone, as it has been nearly four years since the arrival of Styles’ Grammy-winning masterpiece, Harry’s House. That record not only dominated the Billboard 200 but also earned the prestigious Album of the Year award, while its juggernaut lead single, “As It Was,” spent a record-breaking 15 weeks at the summit of the Billboard Hot 100.
The arrival of “Aperture” follows a meticulously planned rollout that began with Styles sending intimate voice notes to his followers, whispering the phrase, “We belong together.” On Jan. 15, he officially pulled back the curtain on the full project, revealing the eccentric cover art and confirming that the complete album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, will be released on March 6.
