Gwen Stefani Applauds Mrs. Claus in Amazon Music Exclusive Holiday Song “Shake the Snow Globe”

Gwen Stefani Releases Festive Single “Shake the Snow Globe” for Amazon Music Holiday Lineup

Published Nov. 5, 2025

Gwen Stefani has kicked off the holiday season with a new original single, “Shake the Snow Globe,” released the morning of Nov. 5, 2025. The track arrives as part of Amazon Music’s seasonal slate of exclusive recordings from established and emerging artists, which includes contributions from Marc Anthony, Mariah the Scientist, Vanessa Mai and others.

Built around a buoyant, horn-driven arrangement, the song offers a playful, contemporary take on Christmas themes — Stefani flips familiar holiday tropes and spotlights Mrs. Claus in a wink-filled, celebratory way. The tune was written specifically for Amazon MGM’s upcoming holiday film Oh. What Fun., directed by Michael Showalter (The Big Sick, The Idea of You) and featuring Michelle Pfeiffer, Denis Leary and Chloë Grace Moretz; the movie is set to debut Dec. 3, 2025.

Stefani said that being asked to craft a song to match a film moment was a first for her, and that the assignment inspired her to write something upbeat that nods to nostalgic holiday sounds while feeling modern and cinematic. She shared a colorful preview of the music video on Instagram the same morning, describing the clip as an attempt to capture the sparkle and joy of the season. (Instagram preview: watch the reel.)

Alongside Stefani’s new original, Amazon Music’s holiday program includes a variety of covers and originals from around the world. Highlights include Marc Anthony’s rendition of José Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad / I Wanna Wish You a Merry Christmas,” Mariah the Scientist’s take on Eartha Kitt’s “Santa Baby,” and Vanessa Mai’s original “Christmas in the Room.” International contributors span composer Kris Bowers, France’s Amir, Canada’s Jamie Fine, Australia’s indie group Spacey Jane, Italy’s Marco Mengoni and others, offering everything from fresh originals to inventive cover versions.

Amazon Music is also supporting the season with limited-edition merch and vinyl releases. Those offerings range from Mariah Carey’s Christmastime collection of apparel and home pieces to Vanessa Mai’s line of shirts and phone cases, and an exclusive Marco Mengoni vinyl pressing for his English-language original “Coming Home,” which is scheduled to be available beginning Nov. 14, 2025.

Stephen Brower, head of music for Amazon Music U.S., framed the initiative as an effort to honor familiar holiday traditions while introducing new songs that listeners can adopt into their seasonal playlists. The program joins a recent string of Amazon Music Originals that have become part of contemporary holiday listening, following releases such as Taylor Swift’s “Christmas Tree Farm (Old Timey Version),” Katy Perry’s “Cozy Little Christmas” and Carrie Underwood’s “Favorite Time of Year.”
