GTA Online on PS4 Sees an Influx of Cheaters

The cheaters caused chaos through explosions, money drops, and boosting players to the maximum level of 8,000. Players were advised to avoid public sessions as a result.

The community joked that Grand Theft Auto Online on the PS4 had started resembling the final years of the game lifecycle on the PS3. Reports emerged on Monday that Rockstar Games had begun banning access to the game for individual accounts and entire consoles.

Sony reportedly tracked down the exploits and blocked access for hardware running firmware below version 14.00.
