GTA Online Bans Duplicate Accounts on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
Yesterday, a mass purge began in the latest generation of GTA Online targeting players who exploited glitches to clone their characters with all their progress, as well as accounts with artificially inflated levels (the notorious level 8,000).
Unfair GTA+ subscribers who are now unable to access the game can only cancel their subscription through PlayStation Plus or the Xbox Store (if not cancelled, charges will continue). All issued bans are permanent and cannot be appealed. In the notices being sent out, developers are referencing a violation of the terms of service. Interestingly, the Social Club emblem still appears in these messages, even though it seemed to have been removed from everywhere.
We remind you to refrain from using prohibited methods such as exploits, cheats, and glitches to avoid getting banned. Otherwise, you’ll lose everything you’ve acquired in “Online”. And to play GTA Online again, you’ll need to purchase another copy of the game and create new profiles.
