The publication IGN continues to share snippets of their interview with the head of Take-Two Interactive. This time, the topic was what will happen with GTA Online in light of GTA 6‘s release. Strauss Zelnick’s response was quite general, but promising:
I won’t talk about a specific project when no announcements have been made. But, generally speaking, we support our titles when it is needed by the consumers. For instance, we launched NBA 2K Online in China in 2012, and NBA 2K Online 2 in 2017, and we haven’t shut down the first ‘Online’. Both are still on the market and have large audiences. So, we’ve demonstrated that we don’t roll back services when the community is interested in them.
