But the main highlight is that the release of GTA 6 is still planned for next fall. This confirmation is important in the context of recent information suggesting a potential delay to 2026.

Obbe Vermeij believes that Rockstar Games will decide whether ‘GTA 6’ will be released next year sometime in May. He cites GTA 4, the last game he worked on at Rockstar North. The release of ‘GTA 4’ was postponed 4 months before the planned launch. Of course, 15 years have passed since then, but the example is still illustrative.
The ex-employee also asserts that developers have no reason to rush. They have a carte blanche from T2 and the desire to make everything 100% perfect, as the life cycle of GTA 6 could extend for the next 10+ years.
