GTA 6: In Search of Jason from GTA 6

Fans of GTA 6 continue to buzz with speculation, especially following the discovery of an actress allegedly portraying Lucia, while the search for the actor embodying the character of Jason remains unresolved. Despite having over ten candidates for the role, six have particularly captured the community’s attention.

Three names have surfaced over the last month. In each, fans claim to recognize traits and nuances of Jason, though opinions are subjective.

Burns, known for his work with Rockstar Games on GTA 5 as the voice of John Cohn (Chip), had a hiatus around 2019-2020, around the time motion capture and voice work for the “sixth installment” would have likely been underway. A tweet on December 6, 2023, the day after the trailer premiered, simply stating “Trust,” the same word heard from the game’s protagonist, drew attention.

Jake Silbermann, with a role in Red Dead Redemption 2, has debunked fan theories linking him to the project in an Instagram post, despite hinting at being approached for casting in various roles.

A source previously rejecting all community propositions recently suggested in a video that Dylan Rourke, without prior ties to R*, portrayed the protagonist. Despite a resume showing proficiency in mo-cap, Rourke had no listed motion capture projects, though an agent’s Instagram post from June 2019 hinted at his involvement in a video game voice role. The same video author mentions that following leaks 1.5 years ago, developers renamed some secondary characters and even re-recorded voices.
