GTA 6 Experts on GTA 6: The Most Important Release and Whether to Expect 60 FPS
Have news about GTA 6 stopped circulating? If we discount the repeated rumors about a second trailer coming in April, then yes, there are currently no official announcements. However, several experts have provided food for thought.
In a conversation with gamesindustry.biz, Mat Piscatella, an analyst at Circana, a company that specializes in studying video game sales in the U.S., predicts:
This year will be tough, but we expect some uplift in 2025, especially thanks to GTA 6. There probably hasn’t been a more significant release in the industry.
We understand this, of course. Even competitors are hoping for the “sixth” installment.
A more concrete statement was made by Digital Foundry founder Rich Leadbetter after reviewing the possible technical specifications of the upcoming PS5 Pro, which have not yet been officially confirmed. He believes that the slight increase in central processing unit performance in the new console will not allow Grand Theft Auto 6 to deliver 60 frames per second unless Rockstar does something “magical.”
