GTA 5 Reaches Saudi Arabia and UAE Almost 12 Years Later
Tomorrow, July 17, 2025, nearly 12 years after the release of GTA 5, the game (along with GTA Online) will be officially released in two eastern countries where it was previously banned—Saudi Arabia and the UAE. PS4 and PS5 versions with an age restriction of 21+ (higher than anywhere else) will be available for sale.
It is also reported that Advanced Initiative, a partner of Nintendo in Saudi Arabia, has obtained the rights to publish all Take-Two products in the local markets. This likely paved the way for GTA 6 to enter the PlayStation Store in several Arab countries:
- Bahrain,
- Qatar,
- Kuwait,
- Lebanon,
- United Arab Emirates,
- Oman,
- Saudi Arabia.
