Gremlins 3 Receives Official Teaser and Release Delay

Gizmo returns to the big screen after decades in the third Gremlins movie, but very little is known about the project. Warner Bros. has shared the first teaser for Gremlins 3. However, the 11-second clip also includes a delayed release date.

Gremlins 3 is the first entry in the series in over 35 years. The last movie, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, was released in 1990, six years after Gremlins. While the sequel did not match the success of the original Gremlins, the franchise has made millions and amassed thousands of fans in the past four decades. The series combines Christmas settings with horror and comedy elements, featuring chaotic creatures and an adorable fuzzy main character.

While animated series based on its lore have been created, fans have always hoped to see the beloved animatronic Gremlins in a third movie. That hope became a reality when Warner Bros. announced Gremlins 3 last year with a November 19, 2027, release date. Warner Bros. has now shared a first look at Gremlins 3 with a short teaser, which includes the announcement of a big delay moving the release to October 6, 2028.

The teaser shows a backpack in a dark, misty atmosphere. As the camera closes in, the audio features the sounds of a Mogwai. The backpack opens slightly, and Gizmo looks out from inside. He appears with his sleepy smile and big eyes. The final seconds of the clip reveal the new release date for Gremlins 3.

Gremlins 3 is now set to premiere on October 6, 2028, which is nearly 11 months later than its initial release date.
