Today on the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, Laurie Anderson gained her first-ever Grammy. Her Kronos Quartet collaboration Landfall gained the award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance. It was Anderson’s fourth nomination. Her first nomination got here in 1984—“Gravity’s Angel” was up for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals.
