Tonight, on the 61st Grammy Awards, the award for Best Comedy Album went to Dave Chappelle for his specials Equanimity & The Bird Revelation. Chappelle received the award over fellow nominees Patton Oswalt (Annihilation), Fred Armisen (Standup for Drummers), Chris Rock (Tamborine), and Jim Gaffigan (Noble Ape).
At final yr’s Grammys, Chappelle received Best Comedy Album for The Age of Spin & Deep within the Heart of Texas. He took the respect over Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Hart, and Gaffigan. Chappelle additionally participated in a Kendrick Lamar performance and called out the Grammys for snubbing A Tribe Called Quest.
