Gore Verbinski’s New Film to Be Shown in Russia

Distributor Global Film staged a presentation at the International Film Market and Forum «Russian Film Business.

Among the distributor’s upcoming offerings is the sci‑fi picture «Good Luck, Have Fun — Don’t Die», from Academy Award–winning director Gore Verbinski («Pirates of the Caribbean»). Details were announced at the event.

No official release date has been set. The lead is played by Sam Rockwell, and the film marks Verbinski’s first major project since «A Cure for Wellness» (2017).

«Good Luck» follows a man from the future who must stop an artificial intelligence bent on annihilating Earth. He crash‑lands in a Los Angeles diner, and the patrons there are reluctantly drawn into his mission.

The cast also includes Zazie Beetz, Juno Temple, Michael Peña, Haley Lu Richardson and others. The screenplay was written by Matthew Robinson («Love and Monsters»).

The film premiered at Fantastic Fest in late September and early reviews have been very positive, registering 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
