Genshin Impact Not Working on Some Huawei Devices — miHoYo Warns Fans of Issues

Recently, various issues have been reported with miHoYo’s game.

Genshin Impact players on PCs equipped with RTX 40 and 50 series GPUs have recently begun experiencing technical problems. Owners of certain Huawei devices have also encountered difficulties.

miHoYo (HoYoverse) addressed the community:

“Developers have discovered that after updating to the ‘Luna I’ version on some Huawei devices that use GBox to install GMS services, the game may crash or fail to launch unexpectedly.”

As a temporary workaround, the Genshin Impact team recommends moving the game out of the virtual environment and installing it on the device’s native system. Instructions are available online.

They caution that “after following the instructions, payment functions in the game may be affected” — this can be resolved by contacting support or by using Genshin Impact’s official top-up platform to complete purchases.
