Alfie Allen, widely recognized for his role in Game of Thrones, is set to take on a major role in the sophomore season of The Institute, the sci-fi horror adaptation of Stephen King’s acclaimed novel. Allen will portray Nolan Reeves, a driven tech billionaire with a personal and ambitious agenda.
The ensemble cast also features the return of Ben Barnes, Joe Freeman, and Mary-Louise Parker. Production for the second season is already underway on location in Halifax.
The upcoming season is expected to further explore the narrative threads of the original book, with Stephen King himself taking an active hand in the writing process.
Steering the project are showrunners Jack Bender (Lost) and Benjamin Cavell (Justified).
