Friday the 13th Prequel Series to Premiere in October
Peacock has officially announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated *Friday the 13th* prequel series, Crystal Lake. The horror origin story is set to debut on October 15.
The narrative explores the lives of a young Jason Voorhees (played by Callum Vinson) and his mother, Pamela (portrayed by Linda Cardellini), in the small town of Crystal Lake during the 1970s. Following a sudden and tragic incident that claims Jason’s life, a grief-stricken Pamela begins a downward spiral that ultimately transforms her into a serial killer.
Produced by the acclaimed studio A24, the debut season will consist of eight episodes. The series was developed by creator Bryan Fuller and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (Tokyo Vice).
