You can now build a city in the Dutch style.
Recently the creators REV0, Gèze, Gruny and Feindbolt released a free Netherlands Region Pack for the city-builder Cities: Skylines 2.
The developers offer a variety of service buildings and zoned areas inspired by Dutch architecture, including authentic windmills.
Special emphasis was placed on the cemetery — it’s modular by design. The developer described their vision:
“I wanted to include a cemetery in the pack so players could tailor it extensively and address care issues more effectively as cities expand and populations age. As a result, the cemetery became the most complex item in the pack, featuring more than a dozen functional and decorative upgrades and even its own small gameplay loop.”
From a technical standpoint, the “cemetery” is a standalone building that works right out of the box. Some upgrades require aligning across three or two slots — for example, crematoria, chapels or funeral-hall additions, and hearse enhancements.
