Free Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Mode Launches in a Few Days — Leak
Insiders report the Battle Royale mode is set to launch on October 28, 2025. References to a mode codenamed “Granite” were uncovered in the game’s files — likely the label developers used to obscure the new format.
Initial leaks were published by the insider ModernWarzone, who revealed details about a free mode. Those claims have now been supported by entries in the game code: files indicate the Battle Royale will arrive alongside the launch of Battlefield 6’s first season, i.e., in late October.
Sources say the new mode will be free and playable independently of the main game, allowing anyone to try it without purchasing the full title. According to reports, EA intends to attract new players and position the mode as a long-term service with continued seasonal support.
DICE and EA have not yet officially confirmed the release date.
