In February 2018, Frank Ocean filed a lawsuit towards Blonde producer Om’Mas Keith after the producer claimed he deserved co-writing credit score for almost all of the songs on Blonde. Ocean had alleged that Keith was introduced on as a work-for-hire producer and paid a flat price for his contributions to the album. In response, Om’Mas Keith countersued Frank Ocean in spring 2018.

According to paperwork seen by Pitchfork, Ocean and Keith reached a “negotiated settlement executed by them” that closes each circumstances.
