For fans of the action-adventure The Last of Us, Dark Horse Direct is preparing to release a Bloater statue in 2026 — the hulking infected known for throwing organic sacs of mycotoxin at unsuspecting passersby.
The tide of infected from The Last of Us universe shows no signs of slowing. Dark Horse Direct, an arm of Dark Horse Comics, together with Naughty Dog, have unveiled a new Bloater statue based on the franchise.
It is available for pre-order now at €190.78 (roughly 18,000–19,000 ₽), with a limited run of 1,000 pieces. The poliresin collectible measures 38.608 cm tall, 31.75 cm wide and 31.75 cm deep, and ships in a box weighing 19.96 kg.
The statue is scheduled to ship between May and July 2026.
Bloaters are sheathed in thick, plate-like fungal armor across their bodies, which significantly increases their resistance to conventional weapons. While they lack speed, they compensate by hurling organic sacs loaded with mycotoxin—projectiles that release a poisonous gas capable of being lethal.
It’s worth noting that the Bloater represents the final—and most deadly—(fourth) stage of infection, a form that takes a very long time to develop.
