Forza Horizon 6 Players Are Using the Estate Creation Tool in the Most Absurd Ways

A standout feature in Forza Horizon 6 is the Estate—a customizable property that grants players a sprawling, blank canvas. Using the game’s intuitive building tools, you can construct practically anything. Yet, ironically, the community has largely obsessed over creating glorified XP and Skill Point farms that serve little practical purpose.

When Forza Horizon 6 first debuted, these utilitarian, low-effort structures cluttered the community browser. Thankfully, the landscape has matured. Today, you are just as likely to stumble upon sophisticated mansions complete with multi-level garages, tranquil cherry blossom gardens, or elaborate drift circuits. Some creators have even managed to replicate the full Laguna Seca Raceway with remarkable precision.

Despite this creative surge, XP and Skill Point "grind" maps still dominate the trending charts. It is a predictable, albeit creatively sterile, outcome. What remains truly baffling is that within the current game economy, both XP and Skill Points offer negligible benefits.

Progression is primarily tied to the Horizon Festival and the Discover Japan race series. Your player level is effectively window dressing; the only tangible reward is a Wheelspin every few levels—providing a hit-or-miss chance at credits or a rare car. These rewards are neither lucrative nor difficult to obtain through standard gameplay, rendering the obsessive farming of levels somewhat redundant.

Ultimately, XP is just a vanity metric. My level 159 profile reflects 60 hours of play, but it doesn't signify superior driving skill; it is simply a reflection of time investment—a hollow badge of honor.

Furthermore, many Estate "XP farms" are outright decoys. While some feature boards to smash, they often offer zero experience. You can occasionally harvest XP through refined Skill chains, but the payoff is lackluster. Skill Point farms are marginally more effective, allowing players to rack up maximum points by destroying environment assets in rapid succession, but this gameplay loop is equally shallow.

These Skill Points are primarily funneled into Car Mastery trees, which are—ironically—designed to make earning more Skill Points easier. It is a circular system that feeds into itself without offering a meaningful payoff.

There are rare exceptions where Mastery trees unlock exclusive vehicles or high-value Super Wheelspins, but these are finite, one-time rewards. For the most part, you are stuck in an endless cycle of generating points just to generate more points.

I don't fault the players for embracing these exploits; when the game mechanics prioritize such trivial tasks, the community will naturally optimize them. However, I do hold the developers at Playground Games accountable for leaning into these "number-go-up" addiction loops. Forza Horizon 6 is an exceptionally beautiful game with immense substance, yet it persists in prioritizing empty dopamine hits that distract from the core driving experience.

Then again, who am I to judge? I used one of these farms to unlock the 1974 Honda Civic RS. After all, why actually "play the game" when there’s a shortcut to skip the grind?
