Forza Horizon 6 Has the Biggest Map in History — Developers Prioritize Size and Quality

Forza Horizon 6 will officially take players to Japan, and the developers say they are building the largest map in the franchise’s history.

According to art director Don Arseta, in an interview Japan in the new installment is not only the biggest setting but also the most densely packed with activities.

He reminded listeners that Forza Horizon 5 was twice the size of the fourth entry, and said that the map in ‘Six’ will exceed even that scale.

“You can’t make a huge map and leave it empty of activities. I think the Japanese Horizon balances both scale and density — there’s always something to uncover and explore. But yes, it’s larger. I won’t disclose numbers. It’s bigger.”

Players can expect the series’ usual trials, collectibles, missions, and side objectives.

The team has paid particular attention to Tokyo, which will be the largest city ever featured in Forza Horizon.

“People will be surprised, because this is likely our most ambitious urban project yet. It’s multi-layered and complex, and I’m confident players will enjoy exploring it. It feels new and refreshing.”

The first gameplay footage for Forza Horizon 6 is expected in early 2026.
