The illustrious figure with the Midas touch returns, more formidable than before! Outlaw Midas makes an entrance with version 34.10, introducing the revamped Getaway LTM, an array of novel weaponry in the Black Market, and the resurgence of Siphon in Ranked.
The Getaway LTM
The Getaway limited-time mode makes a comeback from Chapter 1! Until April 1 Eastern Time, players can retrieve one of four Crystal Llamas (Jewels) as a duo or 4-player squad and successfully escape using one of the Island’s three Getaway Vans. The victory goes to the first three teams reaching a van! Additionally, you can win by vanquishing all other teams in classic Battle Royale fashion.
Holding a Jewel will slow your movement and make you visible on the map to other players. However, possessing a Jewel restores Health and Shield over time! The Getaway LTM is currently live with both Build and Zero Build modes—compete in Duos or Squads either unranked or… Ranked!
This represents our inaugural Ranked LTM, featuring some distinctions from other Ranked experiences. Notably, each team member will earn a substantial rank boost for extracting a Jewel, and rank progression per match is accelerated. Achievements in Ranked Getaway will not unlock Styles for existing Ranked rewards.
Outlaw Updates
The baron Fletcher Kane is imposing exorbitant fees on vending machines and paid porta-potties. Your mission is to curb his unrelenting avarice! Version 34.10 introduces a new Quest, rallying the community to collectively siphon Bars from Kane’s strongholds and caches scattered across the Island.
Once the Quest is accomplished, players will receive a basic membership to the Outlaw faction, complete with an upgradeable Outlaw Keycard. With your Outlaw Keycard, you’ll unlock the backrooms of Black Markets throughout the Island! Fulfill Outlaw Keycard Quests to enhance your card and access additional services and rare weapons. Here’s what you gain with each upgrade:
- Uncommon Outlaw Keycard: Access Black Market backrooms to purchase Exotic items. Some backrooms may even offer hired muscle.
- Rare Outlaw Keycard: Open an Outlaw Chest in Black Market backrooms to acquire free Bars.
- Epic Outlaw Keycard: Procure premium loadouts from each Black Market vendor using a substantial amount of Bars.
- Legendary Outlaw Keycard: Outlaw Chests in Black Market backrooms will also yield a Legendary item and a Dill Bit.
Upon gaining access to Black Market backrooms, you’ll discover a selection of new Exotic Items for purchase, freshly sourced from unauthorized deals. These weapons will be obtainable using Dill Bits:
- Lawless Slap Cannon: Direct healing Slap towards allies to replenish their Health and Shield.
- Lawless Blink Pump & Dump: Provides brief Zero Point Dash post-reload.
- Lawless Stink Rifle: Releases a stink cloud upon impact.
- Lawless Shockwave Rocket Launcher: Propels a projectile causing an impulse explosion nearby.
- Lawless Trinity Assault Rifle: Fires four shots in a triangular pattern at a reduced firing rate.
- Lawless Heavy Impact Tracking Rifle: Temporarily reveals the location of players and Chests around the impact area of your shots.
Available from Chests around the Island beyond the scope of Black Markets are the Outlaw Shotgun and Rocket Drill. Also featured is Big Dill’s trademark — the traditional Pump & Dump. With the capability to occupy a singular weapon slot, you can wield a Shotgun in one hand and an SMG in the other!
Siphon Returns in Ranked
Siphon, which bestows partial healing upon eliminating an opponent, is making a return to Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build for the duration of the LAWLESS event! Similar to ongoing competitive tournaments, every elimination in a Ranked Battle Royale or Zero Build match heals you by 75 Health over five seconds. Siphon remains disabled in Ranked OG, Reload, or Getaway modes.
