Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Final Update Adds Spider-Man Skin and New Content
Spider-Man has swung back into Fortnite, but he isn’t arriving alone. Patch v41.30 introduces a wealth of fresh content, defying expectations for what is typically a quiet seasonal wind-down.
Server downtime commenced at 4 a.m. ET on July 30. While many logged off for the evening, dedicated dataminers immediately dove into the game files to uncover what lay ahead. Because v41.30 serves as the final update for Chapter 7 Season 3, community expectations were modest, with most players anticipating a quiet interim leading into Season 4.
However, the official patch notes and subsequent leaks proved that Chapter 7 Season 3 still had plenty of surprises in store—particularly regarding major crossover events. Following last week’s announcement that The Simpsons would feature in a limited-time crossover, excitement reached a fever pitch with the reveal that John Wick and The Continental Hotel are joining the fray on the newly introduced Springfield Reload map, which remains the exclusive island in Reload until Monday. Battle Pass holders should dive into the dedicated Reload Quests during this event to unlock an alternative style for John Wick.
In addition to these collaborations, NYC-born rapper Lil Tecca takes center stage as the headline music icon for Fortnite Festival Season 15. Players can jump in now to complete performances and start unlocking his signature cosmetic items. Meanwhile, another iconic New Yorker is making a triumphant return to the Battle Royale: Spider-Man, arriving via a special partnership tied to Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Cosmetics inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day are scheduled to hit the Item Shop on Friday, July 31, during the standard 8 p.m. ET refresh. While awaiting the new outfit, players can make use of Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters, which have been temporarily unvaulted to celebrate the film’s theatrical debut. These mobility items can be purchased directly from the Spider-Man NPC located in The Battlewoods point of interest or retrieved from returning Spider-Man’s Backpack loot containers.
Patch v41.30 also expands the game’s roster of sprites with several new variants. Players can acquire Holofoil and Cube styles for the Reaper and Zero Point sprites, alongside brand-new options like the Lootin’ Llama, Peeky Peely, and Quack sprites. To accelerate this collection process, users should focus on leveling them up efficiently to progress through the Sprite Master track. Doing so unlocks the Lucky Locator Gizmo, a handy tool that increases spawn rates and simplifies the search for undiscovered sprites.
These features represent only a fraction of the highlights included in the latest update. Beyond these additions, fans can anticipate new Story Quests, an immersive narrative event, Spider-Man Power Hours, and a wide array of emotes, skins, and sidekicks. For complete details on everything arriving with the patch, players can read through the v41.30 patch notes.
