Epic Games has formally revealed the first of two forthcoming live events for Chapter 5 Season 4 of Fortnite.

A new event countdown timer was introduced in-game at an unnamed location near ‘Reckless Railways’ with the recent v31.30 update. As is customary for Chapter 5 events, the next one is slotted for 2pm (ET) on Saturday, October 5, 2024. It is anticipated to feature a cinematic involving Marvel’s Doctor Doom. Speculation suggests that the event could usher in Fortnitemares 2024, bringing several Halloween-themed areas to the Island.

In addition to the in-game countdown, Epic Games has also officially teased the event across their social media platforms—a move they hadn’t made for the previous ‘mini’ live events of Chapter 5. We’ll continue to keep you informed.
