Former Rockstar Employee: “GTA 6 Will Not Be Very Different from GTA 5
Obbe Vermeij, Technical Director at Rockstar North, who was involved from the very first installment up until the release of the fourth, was a guest on the YouTube channel SanInPlay. There, he talked about his entry into DMA Design, the development of the main entries of Grand Theft Auto (which he already discussed in his blog), and the reason for his departure from the company (it’s quite simple: his Canadian wife wanted to return to her homeland).
Of course, the conversation inevitably touched on GTA 6, and the Dutchman shared his opinion, which even sparked some negative reaction.
I don’t think it will be vastly different from GTA 5. People might even be a little disappointed at release. But it will still be the best game… I like the vibe of Vice City, all these funny moments with people doing silly things, and alligators. It fits GTA very well.
