Florence + The Machine Serve an Eerie Halloween Mashup Ahead of Everybody Scream
By Billboard

Marking Halloween with suitably spectral flair, Florence + The Machine appeared on SiriusXM’s
The Spectrum,
where they unveiled a live mashup that fused Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” with the band’s atmospheric deep cut “Which Witch.”
The performance doubled as an early glimpse of the band’s next chapter: their sixth studio LP,
Everybody Scream, is scheduled for release on Oct. 31, and Florence + The Machine will launch a North American headline tour in 2026.
Their rendition blends Gaga’s February single from Mayhem with “Which Witch,” a theatrical, chant-tinged track featured on the deluxe edition of
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015). Welch’s voice rides over stark, gothic percussion and swelling strings, unfolding with the band’s trademark drama, mysticism and emotional intensity.
The Halloween broadcast is among the first full live showcases tied to Everybody Scream, the group’s first full-length effort since 2022’s
Dance Fever, which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and topped the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart.
Welch has described the new record as a feverish exploration of “witchcraft, mysticism, magic, poetry, and insanity,” with themes that probe mortality, rebirth and a fierce feminine energy.
Much of the album’s emotional core was shaped by Welch’s recovery after an emergency surgery for a near-fatal ectopic pregnancy last year.
“The closest I came to making life was the closest I came to death,” Welch told The Guardian, noting that her recuperation informs the project’s intensity.
Everybody Scream includes the previously released singles “Sympathy Magic” and “Spell It Out,” both of which lean into a darker, more mythic sonic palette. The album is being released on Oct. 31 via Republic Records.
After the album arrives, the band will embark on the Everybody Scream Tour across North America in 2026. The run opens in Minneapolis on April 8 and will call on cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto.
Select dates will feature support from Rachel Chinouriri, CMAT and Sofia Isella.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. local time, with a fan pre-sale beginning Monday, Nov. 3 at 12 p.m. local time.
