“Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” has hauled in more than $109 million worldwide, exceeding its original $36 million production budget by roughly three times. Remarkably, the film—based on the eponymous video game series—became a crowd-pleaser despite receiving very low scores from critics.
The first “Five Nights at Freddy’s” opened globally in 2023 and grossed approximately $132 million, also proving to be a box-office success.
Only the second “Zootopia” surpasses “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” in box-office receipts, with earnings of $915.8 million; the animated feature still appears poised to reach the billion-dollar mark.
