The first promotional image of Sophie Turner stepping into the iconic role of Lara Croft has been unveiled, with principal photography for the series slated to begin in January 2026. The project is being spearheaded by Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, while the supporting cast will feature notable talents Jason Isaacs and Sigourney Weaver.
The narrative foundation for the show is drawn from the legendary Tomb Raider video game franchise, specifically the titles that gained massive popularity throughout the early and mid-2000s.
While Hollywood has brought Lara Croft to the silver screen on several occasions, this upcoming production marks the character’s very first foray into a live-action series format. The show is scheduled to debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
