First Look: Michael B. Jordan in “Miami Vice ’85”
The first official images from the upcoming action film Miami Vice ’85 have surfaced online. The reboot is scheduled to hit theaters on May 19, 2028.
Academy Award winner Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Sinners) and Austin Butler (Elvis, Dune) headline the cast as partners Tubbs and Crockett, who are tasked with tracking down a major drug kingpin in Florida.
Production on the film officially kicked off last week. The ensemble cast also features Alden Ehrenreich, Camila Morrone, John Leguizamo, Walton Goggins, and Danny Ramirez. Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) is directing, with the screenplay adapted by Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler).
The Miami Vice franchise originated as a hit television series in the 1980s. It was later adapted into a 2006 feature film by director Michael Mann, starring Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx.
