Spider-Noir: Nicolas Cage, Cast and Streaming Details

The first official images from Spider-Noir introduced Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a former masked hero working as a private investigator in 1930s New York. The complete eight-episode season is now available on Prime Video.

Story and setting

Ben has left his superhero identity behind after a personal tragedy, but an unusual case forces him to confront his past. The live-action series draws on Marvel’s Spider-Man Noir comics while building a standalone detective story around an older, weary hero and the corruption surrounding Depression-era New York.

Cast

Lamorne Morris plays reporter Robbie Robertson, Li Jun Li plays singer Cat Hardy and Karen Rodriguez appears as Ben’s secretary Janet. The ensemble also includes Brendan Gleeson, Jack Huston and Abraham Popoola.

Creators and visual versions

Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Harry Bradbeer directed and executive produced the first two episodes, with Sony Pictures Television producing the series for MGM+ and Prime Video.

Every episode is offered in two presentations: Authentic Black & White, designed around classic film-noir imagery, and True-Hue Full Color. The story is the same in both versions, so viewers can choose the visual treatment they prefer.
