Prime Video has unveiled the first official images from its highly anticipated series, Spider-Man Noir, which is scheduled to premiere later this year.
Nicolas Cage takes the lead in this gritty adaptation set in 1930s New York City. The narrative follows Ben Reilly, a cynical private investigator grappling with his past while confronting a rising tide of crime. Cage returns to the role after his acclaimed voice performance as the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The series features a stellar supporting cast, including Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Jack Huston, and Li Jun Li. Oren Uziel (21 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher) serve as showrunners, while the production is spearheaded by executive producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal.
Although a specific release date has yet to be finalized, Noir is expected to offer a unique aesthetic experience, with Prime Video providing subscribers the option to watch the series in both standard color and a stylized black-and-white format.
