A live-action adaptation of Final Fantasy 14 is within the works at Sony Pictures and Hivemind, the manufacturing firm behind Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of The Witcher.
The authentic story set on this planet of Eorzea, primarily based on Final Fantasy 14, will discover the “struggle between magic and technology” in a quest to convey peace to “a land in conflict,” in line with the announcement.
Viewers aware of Final Fantasy 14 will acknowledge among the hallmarks of the title’s mythology. Expect to see magitek and beastmen, airships and chocobos together with a mixture of new faces. It will even embody Cid, who has appeared in virtually each installment of the franchise so far.
Jason F. Brown, Sean Daniel, and Dinesh Shamdasani of Hivemind will function govt producers on the collection. Ben Lustig and Jake Thornton (Winter’s Knight, The Wells Initiative) will write for the collection and function govt producers.
