World of Reel has confirmed the conclusion of filming for Minotaur, the highly anticipated new project from visionary director Andrey Zvyagintsev.
Initial word of the film surfaced earlier this March. The narrative centers on a corporate executive grappling with the burden of downsizing his company’s workforce, only to simultaneously uncover his wife’s extramarital affair. A theatrical release is tentatively projected for 2026.
Zvyagintsev co-authored the script for Minotaur alongside Semyon Lyashenko. Production had been underway in Riga since last autumn. This film marks Zvyagintsev’s first full-length feature since the release of his critically acclaimed 2017 drama, Loveless.
