Production on the fifth season of The Bear — the culinary dramedy starring Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White — is set to commence on January 5, according to White. An official release date has not yet been announced. While The Bear has typically premiered in mid‑summer, the shoot may not be completed until July 2026.
At the heart of the story is chef Carmen (White), who returns to his native Chicago to revive the sandwich shop left to him by his late older brother.
The Bear was a major winner at the 2023 and 2024 Emmy Awards, collecting twelve trophies across the top categories, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
