Principal photography has officially begun in the United Kingdom for a brand-new cinematic reimagining of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic. Titled Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, the film is slated for an international theatrical release on November 13 of this year.
Johnny Depp takes center stage as the infamous, misanthropic financier Ebenezer Scrooge. The plot follows his legendary transformation on Christmas Eve, sparked by the arrival of three spectral visitors who challenge his bitter worldview and offer a final chance at redemption.
The project features a high-profile ensemble cast, including Andrea Riseborough, Ian McKellen, Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin, and Tramell Tillman. Direction is being handled by Ti West, the visionary filmmaker behind the acclaimed X horror trilogy.
