Fearless Fox Developer Activity Sparks New Team Cherry Game Speculation

A fresh fan discovery has once again highlighted the mysterious project from the creators of Hollow Knight.

Fearless Fox by the creators of Hollow Knight has surfaced once more. Team Cherry’s trademark application passed examination in Canada and appeared in the latest issue of the state trademark journal on August 5.

Reddit user TomNook5085 spotted the document. The application, numbered 2,269,008, lists Australian studio Team Cherry Pty Ltd as the owner of the Fearless Fox trademark. The list of goods includes class nine, which covers computer games, downloadable game software, and related digital materials.

The name Fearless Fox has been known for several years. Team Cherry first applied to register the trademark in Australia in 2019, also listing computer game software among the categories. In January 2023, the studio expanded the legal protection of the brand to toys, entertainment services, and software development.

Over the past years, the creators of Hollow Knight have not explained what lies behind the Fearless Fox name. Fans speculate that it could be Team Cherry’s next game, which the studio will move on to develop after finishing support for Hollow Knight: Silksong. Meanwhile, the developers continue working on Silksong, with a maritime expansion called Sea of Sorrow planned for release this year, though it does not yet have an exact launch date.
