Father John Misty’s newest album is final 12 months’s God’s Favorite Customer. Isbell and the 400 Unit launched The Nashville Sound in 2017.
In “Mr. Tillman,” the second monitor on GFC, Father John Misty sang about encountering Isbell at a resort: “Jason Isbell’s here, as well, and he seemed a little worried about you….” Isbell later tweeted in regards to the assembly:
