The streaming platform Peacock is developing a television series based on the high-octane “Fast & Furious” film franchise.
The announcement came from series star Vin Diesel, who is also set to serve as an executive producer. According to Diesel, there are currently four projects within the “Fast & Furious” universe in active development. The screenwriting duties have been entrusted to Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, known for their work on “Shades of Blue.”
The “Fast & Furious” saga first premiered in 2001. Over the course of ten installments, the action-packed franchise has amassed a staggering global box office total exceeding $7 billion. The eleventh and final film is currently slated for release in 2028.
